This is our first phlomis variety; the flowers of this perennial are unlike any others, hooded purple pea-like flowers in showy whorls that are tiered down the stems. The foliage is also unusual, long textured lance-shaped leaves with a gray cast. It is a wonderful border perennial that mixes well with rock roses and lavender. Best with good drainage. Zones:4-8. Care tips: Cut to basal growth after flowers fade for rebloom.
