This native woodland sedge is a great choice for 'no-mow' situations (although it can be mowed on a high setting). It forms clumps of fine-textured long blades that look so soft and inviting you will want to lie down in them. This carex will seed in to form a lovely ground cover. Useful in containers as well as large plantscapes. Takes dry shade. Carex is the most popular genus in the sedge family, numbering over 1000 species. Most of them are clump formers and do well in shady locations, making them a great 'no-mow' alternative to traditional turf.

Wicked Ruggeds are our choice for perennials that last the test of time: long lived, hardy and durable.
